Actually, I came...Hello, I wanted to check in here. Actually, I came here through your very interesting essay critique of the documentary 'Flow' only to discover that you are a fellow Paul-bot. Wonderful.

But in regard to global governance in general terms, taking the water rights issue as a case for liberty, I do think we have a difficulty that we have to think more about. In the case of people who, for instance, are harvesting river water for their living, it may be very difficult, and systemically insurmountable, for those in subsistence communities to satisfy a court that their livelihood had been crushed by a multinational company, appealing to tort law alone. They would first have to establish that they in fact lived where they said they lived, used the river water the way they said they used it, and fend off the enterprise's lawyers. This, for illiterate folks living on less than $1~2/day, might be insurmountable. As in this case, environmental issues are one front on which I wonder how a libertarian approach might successfully replace governance, and by extension, global governance pertaining to these real-life issues that 'Flow' addressed. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. I have a hard time understanding how we live in a world full of so many ignorant people who take their liberty for granted and choose to ignore all of the information that exposes these acts of treason our elected officials and unelected beaurocrats are committing. I want to believe that justice will prevail, that good will always conquer evil, and that our liberty will remain intact. Yet, it is difficult to be optomistic when most everyone I talk to is clueless or in disbelief. I fear that the global elite may actually pull this off. Please forgive me for sounding pesomisic and realize that I am being realistic. Their plan has thus far been successful and with little or no resistance. They own the media, the banks, the schools, etc. What is to stop them? Even our own government elected officials do not care for our great nation. Alsmost every one of the Senators and Congressman (except Ron Paul) do not seem to care one bit about the US or any of the citizens. We are ruled by treasonous elitists that seek power at the cost of innocent hard working citizens.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
